Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Alan kyerematen, together with Dep. Minister in-charge of lndustry, Hon Micheal Okyere Baafi (MP),  has undertaken an industrial visit to Atlantic Lifesciences Limited, a company registered under the  One District One Fcatory (1D1F) initiative at Larpleku in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra region.
The USD35M state of the art facility financed by Ghana EXIM Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and the company’s own equity, is a specialized factory with a sterile pharmaceutical plant for Infusions, Eye drops, Vaccines/Sera, Injections, and General Anesthesia drugs.
The organisation,  also operates a modern filling-line compliant to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) in the sub-region.
Currently,  the company employs 350 direct workers which would increase to 1000 when fully operational, including specialists in Biochemists, Microbiologists, Pharmacists, Chemists, and Lab Technicians, among others.
The company is expected to be inugrated in April of this year.
This brings to the addition the number of factories under Mr. Kyerematen’s 1D1F initiative.
